I just did my Calgel training and we were also taught to just use a lint free pad and gently wipe the gel brush with it to remove the "majority" of gel that is left in the brush, but to still leave some in there to keep the brush pliable and "moisturised". These are not actually the words they used, but my brain is not working today !

I then wrap my brush in tinfoil and store it in a dark box. I will use the tiniest amount of Calguard on a lintfree wipe if I managed to gel on my brush handle to remove it.

The only time I used Calguard on the actuall bristles was when I used a coloured gel and had to get the gel out so that I could use a clear gel afterwards.

Even then I only used a tiny bit of Calguard on a wipe as I didn't want to hurt the brush.
