Any advise/tips on how to speed up on IBD gel nail extensions? I'm just learning and taking around 2 hours that's including the application of shellac too but we've only got 1 hour 15 mins to do them in all together.
2 hours is about right for a novice, speed comes with practise and experience, you'll get better at placement with practise which will reduce your filing time. You'll get better at product control which will resolve lifting, and breakage which will shorten the maintenance time generally, and you'll get faster at Shellac application once your product familiarity increases.
Practise. Several months ago it was taking me between ninety minutes and two hours, but gradually I've got this reduced by over thirty minutes, depending on if it's a repeat client, with whom I feel more at ease, or a new client that means I'm concentrating (and worrying) to do a great job.
Hope this helps.
