Morning , I already use shellac but would like to offer either gelish or Ibd . Would love some opinions on these 2 brands .
Also I have the new CND led lamp now so am wondering if this can be used with either for the time being ?
Really need to pick up my nail clients which really isn't happening as there is soooo many people doing them :( feeling a bit disheartened so thought maybe a nice new product with new colours wild help !
Thanks X

I use IBD base & top coat. I love it because it is affordable & I've had no problem with it working with other brands. I buy polishes based on the colors I like or need, not neccisarily by brand. That way you are able to say you offer more brands too.
My advice:
if you're looking to pick up new clients in a heavily populated gel market is to look specifically at what techniques they are offering, not so much the brands.
Meaning: buying a new brand of polish will not set you apart. But if you offer art techniques that no one else is, that will set you apart.
Instead of investing a bunch of money in a new polish brand, extend your art supplies with fun new foils, stamps, glitters & embellishments.
Listen to what your clients want & they will do the advertising for you.

Here's a few examples of what I mean:
I made this bride & her bridal party happy by painting a green glitter shamrock on one nail. I did not try to talk her out of it for something more traditional. And because I listened to what she wanted, and did it with enthusiasm: she posted this to her page & out of that I got 5 new clients that saw her post!

This client brought in a video & asked if I could do it. I said sit down & let's try it!! We had such a blast & the end result wasn't too bad...but it's the amount of fun we had and her personal client experience that made her a loyal & very regular client who brings a new video for every appointment. But I'm now also doing nails for her mom, best friend & a sister!! They try to stump me with new videos & try to out do each other !! Lol

Best tip of all:
Utilize Facebook!!!
If you don't already have one, make one!!! And make your page awesome!!
Clients love to be tagged & they love to post too! Don't be afraid to ask them to tag you in pics if they post to their own page, as well.
There is a link on here that you can check out how a ton of us use FB & our pages. Here's mine & I'd love to see yours! Message me if you need more inexpensive ways to build your client books!!
