Does anyone have pics of the INK London LED lamp please, I'd like to see the back and inside if possible as I can literally only find the front images as listed on their site. TIA xx

Thanks you are a star!

I was eyeballing it when it was on Black Friday sale, have got a couple of Things coming in from them that I want to try before investing in it. What do you think of it? Xx

The lamp feels like a good quality lamp, doesn't feel as good quality as the CND LED but my CND lamp broke after a couple of months and my INK lamp has been dropped several times quite badly and survived, you can remove the bottom so it's great for feet and it's easy to wipe clean :) It is a sensor lamp which is handy when doing your own nails but if your client moves at all it goes off and they have to put their hand back in. I like this because it stops them fidgeting and they keep their hand in the position you put it in :) also if they remove their hand and put it back in the timers starts where it left off so you do not need to cure for longer. I use iLac and iJel, I love iLac the colours are brill and I get the same or more wear time as shellac and it removes easily. I use dsperse I think INKs inhibition layer remover leaves a slightly dull finish. iJel.. I'm not sure yet! I like it not sure if I love it I do have problems 10% of the time not sure if it's me or the system. I use YN protein bond with iJel, with both INK primers I had too much lifting which I do think was down to the primers because I am meticulous with my prep. The cuticle oil I tried was rubbish, didn't do a thing.. Very lengthy but hope it helps :D x

No it absolutely does thank you! I can't believe your CND Lamp broke that's awful :( I upgraded mine a while back and I've got on pretty well with it (fingers crossed I haven't just jinxed myself).

Seems Young Nails protein bond is always the go to protein bond generally speaking, has the protein bond helped the lifting at all vs their primers?

I purchased 2 of their cuticle oils to try out but have to say I do pretty much swear by solar oil, it's by far one of my favorite products around xx

I got a replacement but for £195 +VAT I was disappointed, it has helped a lot with ink primers it was like the enhancements hardly adhered to the nail sometimes. I also swear by solar oil, not sure why I bothered trying to find a better oil I don't think there is one x

A replacement LED? Why did they charge you if it just broke? Surely it would have been under warranty?

That's so strange I will definitely keep that in mind :)

Solar oil is really one of my great loves :p xx

It was free, they sent me a free replacement and collected the broken one with no problem :) I mean the fact the lamp cost £195 initially and broke so soon was disappointing

Phew I was going to say. Have you had any further issues with it? I like it overall but it's a total nightmare to do pops xx

Hi, just read your post and noted with interest your comments re lifting. I'm newly qualified and have chosen Ink because of their cruelty free claims but I'm having trouble with lifting. I'm being very careful in my prep, I was applying to thickly but feel I have rectified this, and I am being careful to seal the free edge. I do have thin, soft nails, so thought that might be the issue and bought their fortify gel but having spent 2hrs Sunday evening putting a coat of fortify below and above the colour today it's started lifting. I wondered if you had any further advice you could give me?

Meant to say, it predominantly my thumb and index finger I'm getting the issue with. Never have a problem with my ring or tlittke fingers

If you have 2 coats of fortify that's gonna take you up to about 6 layers, which in itself can cause lifting.

If you only get lifting on the same fingers, could it be caused by your hand placement in the lamp? Or anything else you do differently with these nails? For example if you start your dehydration wiping from the pinkie, working toward the thumb, maybe you have too little fluid by the end, or need to use a new wipe after a few nails?

Thank you for reading and responding. I hadn't thought about the dehydration, I'll try using a wipe for those nails and see if that helps.

I'd also try curing those 2 trouble nails separately, and really think about your hand placement in the lamp.

Let us know how you get on!

Just trying now. I'm making sure my index finger is completely flat and my thumb is rotated as possible.

I have had issues with iJel lifting not so much iLac, @Anna Ljungberg has given some great advise I'm sure it will help :) I'd add that INK products need to be applied very thinly, I find they are easy to apply too thick because of the amount of product on the brush so make sure you aren't applying too much. Also be careful of dehydrator and acetone with other clients, it will break down your own gel polish if you get it on your nails x

I'm just using iLac and as yet haven't got the hang of it. I don't think I'm using too much product as if I have any less on the brush it doesn't cover the nail at all. I had a friend who I applied it to on Monday and she's already lost 3 nails completely. So I've redone all her nails today and made sure to thoroughly dehydrate here nails first. Fingers crossed this will rectify it because if not I don't know what else to do :-(

If they came straight off they most likely didn't adhere properly to the nails. Did you use just the base coat, or one of their bonders?

Make sure you properly scrub the nails with the dehydrator, and make sure you have enough product on the lint free wipe.
The base coat really needs to be super thin, I usually go back to the bottle to take off excess polish a few times.
