I've done something silly.

I have Sunday and Monday off ..... however I will go into the salon for an appointment if they are willing to pay a surcharge (ever heard of overtime?).

Everyone else demands overtime .... or are nail technicians not worthy?

If they want you for your reputation and ability, they will pay the surcharge, if they don't, they can go to Sweaty Betty or Wa Coloryouwan down the road and get a crap job, eventually, if you have the better reputation they will land back on your doorstep within business hours, or outside of business hours willing to pay your surcharge.

i never say no to clients....i would do a mobile on that day and charge her extra for that service....!! so she always will know its possible to do her nails on Mondays but it will cost her more than comin to ur salon on a normal day!!....xxx

Whats done is done but in future i would urge you to do the client so what if it means you going into work for a coulple of hours on your day off money is money and she will think your the best for doing her a special favour and would probably of recommended you to other people. I am mobile now but when i rented a room i worked out of hours all the time and i opened mondays i found i was really busy as no other salon was open in the area i did a 20% discount offer on that day. When youve got your own business you need to be prepared to stick the hours in i used to open at 7am once every 4 weeks for a doctor who needed to come in befor her shift but it was worth it for me and she really appreciated it aswell. We all make mistakes though youll Know for next time x x:irked:
