Im so touched by everyones support..:cry:.. been feeling very sorry for myself yesterday.. but today i decided to pick myself up and dust myself off.. went to rehab clinic today and was given some ball exercises to do with my hand.. very short squeezing motions that i will gradually build up.. the pain when doing them is like nothing i have ever known.. even after 2 kids!!! but the physio said my hands will be stronger for doing them!!

my nails are getting alot of attention.. no one comments on how disgusting my hand looks just how fab my nails are! gotta look on the bright side, the hand that i broke suffered no nail damage.. not even lifting when i banged it so hard against the pole! (very extreme way of advertising that i dont recommend!!!)

I havnt been able to do my nail yet.. i cant hold the brush/resin/buffer in my left, so i bought some spray on bandaid stuff and coated the crack for now.. hopefully tomorrow i can close my thumb and pointer together enough to give it a good clean and fill..

You are all really wonderful people for giving me so much support and care, and its meant all the difference from me sitting in bed drugged up to the eyeballs and sulking.. to getting out their and fixing myself up so i can get back to doing what i love!

Got a call from a local tech this morning thanking me for the referal to her that i gave my clients.. I mean im out for at least a month.. and i cant have my girls suffering!!
I have never met her.. but i saw a set she did on a lady at my deli and they were really great.. she is new to a salon around here that is one of the better ones.. and i figured she could use the business.. she told me she was chatting to one of my regulars about me and wondered if she could shout me lunch this weekend at the local pub to thank me!! I thought that was really lovely hey??

Im a bit worried ill loose some clients.. but i think i may have made a good connection.. you just never know! swings and roundabouts!!!

I was feeling a little like nigel no friends, my phones stopped ringing and i have NOTHING to do because my hand throbs if i move it!! going through my course books and magazines just makes me want to do nails.. DAYTIME TV sucks!! oh well at least i have a nice free lunch to look forward to!:green:

Keep your chin up. You know what they say, when one door closes another one opens. My daughter is a mobile makeup artist and she has got to know another lady who does the same thing. Well now they pass clients to each other when they can't fit them in, and business has grown! So, look on the bright side and try to get through the next 4 weeks. Much love to you. :hug:

well it looks worse but feels better.. i can now type with my good hand and a thumb!!! yesterday i fixed my thumb and pinky and it came out ok.. thanks to geeg for her advice.. it was oweeee to do.. but the pain went immediatetly once i had glued it down.. i was then able to give it a buff and overlay.. you can only see the crack if you know what your looking for.. so i learnt a new thing anyway.. how to repair a nail! :hug::green:
