Koleston doesn't react well with 10vol

client has black dyed hair - wants dark brown highlights. I have done a strand test and lifted to a gingery colour, I was going to use 5/77 but worried that 20 vol would cause further damage. I was going to use a semi but she says she doesn't want it to fade out. I really dont know what to do??!

a semi will hold better on porous hair so go with that!

Thanks to both of you.

I use Kadus, sister company to Wella (think there nearly the same) I use 10 vol if i just want the colour without any lift, also used 10 vol with Wella never had a problem. But i agree about the quasi or semi holds better due to the staining power.

5/77 is choclate brown, so i would go with a CT on this one as you only want depth and tone not lift :)

Either use 6% or go for a quasi.

Don't use pastel has the tones don't come out correct has bluerinse says and wella states also!!

Actually you can use a lower releaser with Koleston Perfect. It's called Pastel which is 2% but thats meant for toning & anything above a base 8 for lifting with Blondor. It doesn't react any different because it's designed to use with that range.

That's great
Thank you
