I can't post a picture. Would a link make anyone cross?

Hi mrsm,

These look really nice. I am sporting the same star design on mine (I only have one stamp per nail) but I have also stuck a rhinestone in the centre of the 'open' star on mine.

I too get messy but I am probably weird as I like that side of stamping!:o

I don't see why it should, since we are asking for it :green:

Ok, here goes.......

I had not heard about this until a customer asked me for it today :o

Online Konad image plates
I think I read about this plate, it's the fan plate that was designed in the UK by fans and then made up (?right?). How very cool!!!

I love the mirror image birds and the stars.

*picchi goes off to check her bank account...*

Ooh I really like 3 designs on that one!!

I know nothing about it to be honest. A fellow Geek rang me today for a Konad chat and to ask me about this plate, it was launched in the UK last month.

I am going to asked konad GQ to issue a monthly news letter as I can't keep up. i found out about plate M82 and M83 by accident........

Did these tonight. Hope the link works.

Had tried to use one of the bigger images to cover my full nail but found it difficult as my nails are long and my konad skills aren't that great yet. I used plate m3 and the star image I just made a repeated pattern with it over the full nail. This is a pic of my right hand, my left hand is a little smudgy. Only problem was I was covered in black konad polish. Has anyone worked out a system for creating less mess? Everytime I use black I end up covered in it.

There is a clean pad set.......

Thanks I was quite pleased with them. Just glad I managed to pick up the image unlike I'm first attempt. I thought of doing this with the rhinestones it would give a nice effect. I'm a bit of a clean freak and the mess has been stressin me lol also the fact that I must have put my scrapper in the bin along with the mountain of kitchen roll didn't help, I looked very professional using an old library card to scrap the excess polish from the plate!

Hi sorry not very clear! I have added it to my stamping album in my profile so may be a bit clearer.

Hi,

Oh heck, I like these as well :D

Some of the designs look like they are in glitter which gives them a 3D apperance.

To get this look would you sprinkle glitter into the wet Kondad design or would you have to 'paint' the glitter over the design (almost as if you were tracing the outline)?

hmmmmm, good question? My guess would be to 'trace' over the top?

They look good though

With regard to the Q plate apparently some students in Sweden (?) approached Brendan (Konad UK Big Boss) and they designed it and he got it manufactured.

so do you wipe the sticky layer off b4 stamping.
Is this the right formula for stamping?

Hiya :)

You do not need to wipe the inhibition layer off and if your using a konad or normal nail polish to stamp you do not need to cure what you have stamped. Does that make sense? But its worthwhile seeling your stamped design with a top coat, then cure if its not a regular top coat as this Will prevent the design from wearing off :) xx

Hiya :)

Konads amazing isn't it :)

I can have a go at trying to explain how i do it, hopefully you'll understand lol

I am right handed so this is how i do the French konad stamp...

Before i start i always make sure the plate and chosen design is facing me as it would when transfered onto the client ie smiling at me lol.

When i transfer the design onto the stamper from the plate i try to make sure that the right hand edge of the design is close to the right hand side of the stamper. Then i align the right hand side of the design so its straight with the right hand sidewall then gently roll the stamper over to the other side of the nail plate.

The only time i really struggle is if im frenching konad on myself :)

Does that make sense? X

Ooo thanks for that, will give it another go :)

I'm really struggling with the french tip plates - any hints?

I can never get it to go on the angle I want, and end up with a french tip that goes on a big diagonal.

Read the comment directly before yours, I asked this exact same question.

Typical! I trawelled through the first five pages, and didn't see anyone posting this request, and then when *I* do the response is the one ditectly before mine. D'oh!

Thank you.
