hi there, i qualified in nail extensions back in april but have been on maternity leave so hadnt put this service into my business. However, im going back to work soon so need to sort of some prices for l&p.

I am a mobile tech, living and working in poole, comptetition is fierce - there are nail salons all over as well as lots of mobile techs. I have a mobile tech just moved in 2 mins from my house. She has a lot of clients in my immediate area and has done for some time now. She only charges around £22 for a full set - this is an offer (that shes been running for ages). There are lots of 'chop-shop' salons around that offer cheap enhancements that seem to be popular.

I just dont know where to start! We're in the middle of a credit crunch too so getting new clients is going to be hard i know!
Im stuck with all l&p prices - but also a biggie for me is how much to charge for single nail repairs? Some salons charge £3 a nail - but i dont want to drive the other side of town for £3!
Alsp, how much extra for nail art on a set on extensions? (I only do freehand - not airbrushing)...

Any help would be great! xx

Hi emily

I am also mobile and charge £28.00 for acrylics. I used to charge £20.00 but put my prices up in April this year and found I got more calls!

For single repairs I charge £10.00 call out fee plus £3.00 per nail. Most people are happy to pay this.

Also I cover a 10 mile radius, after that I add on 40p per mile to the treatment cost.

Good luck!

Don't try and compete with NSS prices, just offer something a little better in your service i.e. perhaps give a 5 minute hand massage at the end of the service for free.
