Hi Ladies,

I have a list of question I really hope some of you could answer for me!

Have qualified in nail extensions and waxing. Spray tanning is next week!
I have started to set up a home salon and am in the process of making up some price lists in preperation for a massive local leaflet drop.

1) I need to purchase a beauty couch/table and nail table but want a 2nd hand ones to save costs. Have looked at The Guild and ebay websites, anywhere else i can try?

2) Price lists, do people include a little blurb on their business or just the treatments and costs?

3) Buisness Link, are they worth it?

4) I have contacted my local council to check if i need any permissions etc to open a home salon (i dont) but do i need to check with anyone else?

In answer to (4), you may also want to check:

(a) The deeds of your house - in case there are any "restrictive covenants" that disallow running a business where people visit your home.

(b) Your home insurance policy - this may be invalidated if you are running a business where members of the public visit.

I bought a folding picnic table for doing nails at a fraction of what a nail table costs! and its more lightweight and easy to store.
2) Price lists, do people include a little blurb on their business or just the treatments and costs?
I've put a small description of my business and a couple photos of my nails beside relevant treatments
3) Buisness Link, are they worth it?
definatly, they are very helpful, i use their website all the time for information.
