Hi All,
The salon I work in has recently changed to using Loreal colour. Since changing Im experiencing problems with white hair and resistant hair coverage. I love the reds and warm browns etc,the symbios and Dia Richesse and Light, But when I need to cover really stubborn white hair I just find that Majirel does not work!
e.g. 5-0, and 5 are too cool, 5-3 too warm and transluscent.
Im just wondering and hoping that maybe people have some tips for this or has anyone else had problems like this??
Thank You

You can mix them together, ie 5 and 5.3.
You can also drop down to 10vol for resistant white. Another trick is to leave it on a bit longer.

If that doesn't work have you tried pre softening? Just apply developer(no tint) for 5-10 minutes rinse blowdry then apply Desired colour. I usually use either 20vol or 30vol.
:) I don't really use loreal often, but when I have the colour results were beautiful, once you've got to grips with the colours you'll really like them, I've seen so many good reviews, good results and they have a colour product for everything haha.

Perhaps if you're not feeling them you could ask see if you could go on a course or if they have a technical helpline phone them, I know you can phone wella and they're really good but I'm not sure if loreal have one. It should say on back of shade chart or on the guidelines in the box :)

Get yourself on the colour keys course at L'Oreal....tells you all about the ranges and colours, I found it really helpful when changing colour houses :) x x

Using the .3 in Majirel give 100% grey Coverage, but i like to make resistant mix, insted of 1.1'1/2 , do it 1.1 and a bit eg 50g 5.3 + 58g 6%, works great, same with all of the tints just not .3 the .0 and flat levels.
