Hi there, wonder if anyone can help me please  I have started having people come back for maintenence appointments which is great but I'm not sure the best way to go about things. If they come with unwashed hair and I have to replace a few bonds will there be an issue with them holding on to greasy hair and then, as I like to offer a deep conditioning treatment after, will washing the new bonds straight away not cause them to loosen? On the other hand though, If I do the conditioning treatment first then the hair is sooo soft I am worried that new bonds will slip straight out of it? Please can someone help? x

If the hair is dirty, I would wash and dry it first then put the new bonds in. Bonds need up to four days (depending on what hair you use) to harden so washing straight away will cause them to degrade.
If you want yo offer a deep condition, why not just get them to buy one to use at home?
xx

I give a full aftercare pack with each set I fit but I really wanted to be able to do the mask at maintenance. I think it's nice to feel like you've had a wee pamper but am worried that the new bonds would jst slide off the treated hair. Dilemma!

hi Lyndsey!

The way I do it is I remove any loose bonds, then wash the hair and condition the ends only, blow dry and pop any new extensions in at that point. would be nice to offer a deep condition at maintenece but if your putting any new bonds in its not really practical. you could always offer a wash/condition/blow dry a week after for an additional cost? The bonds wouldn't fix properly onto newly treated hair xox
