I have dabbled with colour correction but want to be more confident.Has anybody done the matrix colour correction course?
Do they colour strip using bleach or colour strippers?
I dont use matrix ,so would this course still be relavant to me?
Are you given a colour correction booklet to take home?
I have been on 2 other matrix courses and they are very good ,so i am tempted to go with them for this course. Many thanks in advance.xx:|

Has anyone done this course, any info would be great.xx:lick:

i have done this course and got to say it was fab, i was pretty new to matrix at the time and to be honest as much as i thought i did i didnt have a very good knowledge behind colour but this course really helped me understand what colour does, how and why, its not so much about changing a hair colour from dark to blonde with bleach or the solutionist, its about everything from tonal change to what colours you will find will come through when lightening hair and what tones will show through when going over previous colours so basically undertones. i loved this course and would recomend to any one who wants a bit more of a scientific understand to why colour does what . i use it with every colour i do now. i would even go to say i would do the course again. hope this helps

thankyou ttaylor. so there was nothing on colour stripping i was hoping that would be covered, getting so many clients in with box hair dyes wanting them lifting lighter, it's a nightmare, lol.:(

Where can I find out about this course? I have tried google but can't find it

secret stylist, they do the course at alan howard hair and beauty warehouse, any one else have any info or comments on this course??:)

This is a great course we did it last year, and i was in my cash and carry on Friday and they have this course on there at the end of this moth i think, they are called Rendezvous and are based in Derby Tel 01332 344233 and it was £88.00 for the day and that inc a certificate to say you have done the course and also your refreshments too are included.

Even though i dont use the permanent matrix colour , would i still learn from this course ,and ajust it to my colour range. i cant get good education from my colour range, but know matrix training is very in depth .

oh of course you can, when they mention a Matrix line just adjust it with your line you use, it is a great course, but could i ask why you use another line when you get NO education ? Get on board with Matrix, yo uwill never look back :)

I went with Matrix for 6 months loved the training but didn't like the permanent colour, nothing like what i'm used too, i use Kadus sister company to Wella. 0 is natural covers white hair well.100% coverage. I foung Matrix n was neutral very cool ,not ideal on white hair not 100 coverage on white hair just blending. lost loads of clients, alot of clients had a fit when i used intence grey coverage as it is on the dark side, ul blondes can grab very blue .Must be my age (43) set in my ways ,everyone else loves it.

oh i see, maybe the training you had was wrong for Matrix, the colors are fab and the Dream age colors wel lthere are 20 shades now totally dedicated for the over 50% grey market and they are a range of Fashion colors for the grey haired market and the coverage and multi tonal coloring is incredible even on 100 % white hair !!!!

Matrix have just launched there new UL Range a total of 9 new colors and today i use NV+ and the result was beautiful and so cool, the client loved it, maybe you should have another look at the new colrs and don't get me started on the Reds + range, they are to DIE for

They have extra coverage range for this but in the last 3 years they have brought out something even better!! Dream.Age, covers 100% grey without pre softening or adding any other colours, just one tube one with 20vol and after development it's covered!! :0) can you tell I love matrix?? Lol

I think if i move colour range again the stylist that works with me would probably leave lol. we've had Kadus, Matrix, Fudge, Joico, Kadus. The trouble is i like a few in one range a few in another , but cant find a range i like fully.trouble is theres a few i dont like in Kadus, and theres isn't any good courses. I found that using a more blended colour such as Matrix, there was a clear translusant regrowth immediatly due to the hair been 100% covered With previous colour (Kadus)on mid and ends. I tryed so hard to like Matrix colours, went on matrix colour knowledge course, had colour tec come and talk it through ( but given conflicting advice to the trainer on the course)told use 10 vol, then another would say no use 20 vol etc... But loved colour and cutting course so much with Matrix, learnt alot. and love the books your given to take home. I do use color sync, Matrix perms, instacure etc... love em.x

With any grey coverage with any house it is 20 Vol, why would they say to use 10 Vol ???

I think when you get chance you need to look at the new Shade chart and i think you wil lsee a Whole new range and also change of color, but your Blended collection is for up to 50 % grey coverage only, i have used blended ona lady with 80% grey and got a marvellous result but i could not do that on everyone.

I had 2 colour tecs saying use 10 vol , 2 saying no use 20vol, and 1 saying you can use both. but to be fair i find 10 vol covers better,as 20 vol is 1-2 shades of lift.i use 10 or 15 vol on white hair now. Wish i got on with the colour range, as they really look out for you and training is second to none.love color sync though.x

wish the course did colour stripping ,but have been told it's not covered in colour correction which i'm surprised at.I'm a bit nervous about colour stripping, as would hate to start someones hair and not get it right. ( bit of a worrier me lol)thanks for all your help.xx:D

any more views? your all so very helpfull.xx:biggrin:
