if you want to use your shellac base and top and that works for you then that's great it is compatible and will work.

if you want to invest in a great base coat and a great top coat then buy the entire system

but if you just want to dip your toe in the water and get just the megamix then that's fine to :)

any polish works :) there are no favourites !!!!!!!!!!!!
if you want full coverage then heavily pigmented polishes like vinylux opi china glaze etc work really well, and polish that has dried up in the bottle works well too. I used an Essie the other day and that was fine but some of their shades especially French need three coats just of polish to get a good cover they are very shear so need more polish to be mixed in to the megamix to get the same affect as the polish in the bottle.

but for a French shade you may choose a more pigmented pink and use it very diluted.

you just have to mix it up and find out for yourself what works for you :)

I'm looking into it if people want them then I will get them :)

Thank you Martin. So will the prices etc be going up after launch?:p.

Couldn't resist. I have a Morgan Taylor laquer that I love but don't use cos of all the removals I do, now I can use it. Plus my client loves that particular colour too,

I never got around to trying thermal polish but as you say it works, and there is no reason why it shouldn't.

I did try it out on magnetic polish and that worked too ............

it literaly works with anything !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

And this is why I know I'm going to love your product Martin. Your so lovely to talk to all of us and answer all our questions and I must say prices and delivery were both amazing!

I love how endless the possibilities are too!

ordering my this week, been watching this thread since it started and am so impressed that Martin has taken his time to answer questions. :D
My clients are sooooo excited about getting this product, one question though.
One of my ladies has a favourite lipstick that we cannot match to any varnish, can this be mixed in with the megamix?

Ok, did my first colour pop with Megamix today and I'm certainly impressed.

The only thing I'm not sure about is that the product is really thick and therefore hard to get out of the bottle. Anyone else found this? Any suggestions?

Lipstick ? not tried it why not give it a go!!!!!!!!!!!
the only thing that worries me is that it would be oil based, not solvent based !

let me think about how we can make it work!!!!!

great question :)

the gel is a little thick and if it is cold will seem thicker. it needs to be thick in order for when it is diluted with polish it isn't too thin.
as you work with it it seems to liquify

so first thing in the morning it may seem super thick by lunch it will be more runny.

best to use the brush and bottle for brushing on and adding strength, use the pot for scoping out and mixing maybe

it will come out of the bottle ! just maybe need to wait a second or two and perhaps almost tease it out with the brush, or load the brush and dab that onto the foil or whatever rather than waiting for it to drip out of the bottle top :)

anyone else got any suggestions ?

Thanks Martin.

I tried to let it drip off the brush but had no luck, I do think that my cold room is to blame for that though. It makes sense that it's thicker so that it's better to mix so I will find a warm spot for it and take it from there. I mixed it with Vinylux, which I didn't really believe would work, but it did!

I'm a Megamix believer :wink2: now, (although I still don't like the name) and maybe deserve one of these :smack: for being skeptical, lol!

Would the gel be affected if you placed it on a warm radiator or in warm water for few minutes?

Debbie

I think that's what I'll try Debbie. It's what they advised us when our Gelish was too thick (the Love in Bloom collection)
