HI Ladies, wonder if anyone can help, im considering doing microblading and wondered if anyone had gone through the process of getting a license to do this from home, if so what was the process and is it difficult. I'm looking at putting a log cabin in my garden at which point I will need to have permission to run a business from but not too sure how difficult the licensing will be. Thanks x

I don't offer microblading but do beauty from a cabin. My council needed planning permission for the cabin and a treatment license. PP was over £400 and the license is £300 per year. If i did microblading i would need a more expensive type of license.

I don't know if you would need special bin removals for sharps or not.

You would also need to inform your mortgage supplier and home insurance.

I would suggest you look online or ring your council and get their advice specifically as each council is different.

Hi. I’m due to do my microblading course on 20th July I’ve applied for a tattoo and piercing registration from my council. I know all councils are different but my council do not class it as a licence it is a registration in your name and property. You’d have to check with your own council what type they use but I’ve paid £165 and it’s a one off registration unless I move to which I’d have to apply again for new premises. You do need to contact your mortgage provider too. You will also need to arrange for a sharps bin collection which I pay around roughly £20 per month and have a collection every quarter but I also have contaminated waste with that price so you may get it cheaper if it’s just sharps. I hope that helps
