Hello

I am considering undertaking a Microblading course and have a few questions for those of you who do it as a job:

- do you do it as a full time job?
- what is your £ outlay per Microblade?
- where did you train and £?
- what Kit did you start off with - was it good?
- what are the downfalls?

So much information out there - I don't know where to start :/. I plan to operate from home as have a spare bedroom and also a big garden cabin which I may transform into my Microblading room

I am on maternity leave at the moment and really don't want to go back to work up London hence looking for working for myself and eyebrows seem to be the in thing / most profitable

Thanks

I have recently trained in microblading. I did 4 full days with 8 live models it was a fabulous one to one course. The trainer had over 20 years experience in the industry and cost me £1600. So a rule here is expensive training doesnt necessary mean it is better! It took me over a year to decide on a trainer and i asked over 20 companies and trainers for info and this lady gave me everything I asked about without hesitation before I even booked. There was no other training provider that did this, most would only limit you to the info on their website or would be very brief in their descriptions. I have to say I left feeling really confident and she's always available to advise you after. The difficulty now is getting the clients through the door.

Can I ask what qualification your course was and if you have found it easy to get insurance? Also, where is she based? Thank you X

Hi She is based in Birmingham and as I am already a qualified body piercer my insurance covered this as well so for me it was very straight forward. She is ABT Acredited so all legit.

Hi Hannah, I can give you some guidance on this.

At LVC we provide all the kit so you just have to get the below

You will need to buy pigments for you clients once you run out of what we give to you, we give you a lot though.

Also you will need to purchase disposable blades (if you use the handheld method) or cartridges (if you use the machine) - again we give you these in your kit so you will have some for your first few clients

Hope this helps :)

I have also been looking into this to add to the treatments I am currently qualified to do so will watch your post with interest.

The courses I have seen are 2 days and are just under £3,000, from my point of view is that long enough to learn a new treatment? I am basing this on how long it takes to become a beauty therapist.

My mum got this treatment done in someone’s garage which was converted into a beauty room so it does work from home :)

Yes 2 days is enough and depends on each student. You can also come back as many times as you want to practice on live models so can build up confidence in that way too. A lot of people do this part-time as a second career or some people do it part time :)

Hi Hannah,

I would strongly recommend that you do your research before training in Microblading. I trained with LVC and had one of the worst experiences I've ever had on a training course. Very unprofessional and a huge lack of knowledge of the procedure and the legislation surrounding it. Myself and another trainee felt very uneasy upon leaving. I have now lodged a formal complaint against the company. I have since trained with a local Microblading specialist and feel 100% confident in my practice now.

If you would like any further info please message me and i'll be happy to help :)

Hi Hannah,

I am new and I am very sorry you had a bad experience. When did you do the course? My job is to make sure every student is happy and if there is anything we can do now for you please let me know. It could have been a model issue maybe? Please inbox me and I will try and help find out what happened

Jess
