Hey geeks,
Just asking if anyone had a similar experience.
2 nights ago I ordered a few things from various sites. I already checked most of them and I had paid through paypal.
However, my moyou london transaction doesn't show up on my bank account history AND I can see 2 transactions made by a company named Skrill (which is something like Paypal) for a company named Garena (no idea what that is) for a total of an even 100$
I am now trying to login on my moyou account to check how that transaction took place and their site is down. It won't load. Can it be they were hacked and therefore my card details stolen?
Do you girls know if they use paypal or not?
And can somebody check to see if they too are having problem loading the site?

Hmm I've no idea about any of the issues you've mentioned but I can't load their website tonight.

Do you remember if they use paypal?

they are not the same. I ordered from moyou.co.uk
:(

I definitely can't get on that one, it's just freezing when trying to load.

Has anyone ever bought from moyou.co.uk?

Mine shows as a PayPal purchase as that's how I paid it

You shouldn't be publicising something so negative and damaging to a business when all you have is rather illogical conjecture.

I couldn't pay with paypal, cause it does't show on my history

All I'm saying is that whoever hacked me, probably hacked moyou as well. I have been talking with every bank I can find for 2 hours now. I'm trying to get in contact with moyou as well but it's proven impossible so far.
I'm posting my problem and ask for guidance. I'm also notifying everyone to know that juct currently there is a problem.
I didn't just happen to notice moyou, I checked every transaction I made in the last days and I contacted every one of them separately, except from them
I don't want to give negative feedback to moyou. For crying out loud, if I didn't like them I wouldn't buy from them. As a matter of fact I think they are amazing. But a problem is a problem and it wasn't caused by me

The 2 common ways information is stolen is insufficient virus protection so that your keystrokes are logged or following phishing email links, such as from paypal, and voluntarily entering passwords on fake sites. People don't sit there physically hacking you & then hacking sites you visited!

Websites use encrypted secure online payment providers. They don't simply store financial data within their site.

Their facebook page says their site is down due to maintenance. It's perfectly normal.

I didn't get ANY fishing emails, except my order confirmation. I do not believe that is fishing
I can't believe it's a keylogger but then again that's the only thing I can't check. My protection is up-to-date anyhow
I didn't pay with paypal because it wouldn't give me that option. It's the only site that I had to pay directly with my card.
I don't have facebook either, neither any other social media accounts.
I will contact them first thing tomorrow morning and post more on the subject.
It's not just that the 2 unauthorised transactions took place, but theirs don't show up either!

I am surprised your thread is permitted.

I wish you luck in getting it sorted. It is a very stressful unpleasant experience.

Just saw their facebook page. Other people too had problems with their transactions. did you notice?

People are saying the site vanished/order processing problems I.e. the technical issues moyou admit to having.

No one has suggested anything sinister?

I don't know what to tell you
I really do hope it's not a problem from moyou, but I was at a loss and still am.
I have contacted both banks of the transaction, mine and skrill (yeah it's a bank apparently, not paypal-like), and they will both investigate it.
I will also contact moyou tomorrow to make sure it's not a problem from their end. Nothing more I can do tonight.

I think you'll find the op was asking a question not stating fact or opinion. Perhaps others have had a similar experience and been able to get to the bottom it and could reassure the op.

The whole thread is her opinion?

She is stating a company is responsible for a very serious security breach of her financial data.

With zero evidence that should not be publicised on a forum. It's unethical.

I don't think this has anything to do with moyou....

There is also a very common third way of your card details being cloned, and that's using a dodgy card reading device, say a rigged ATM or a dodgy card paying machine. This means as you legitimately use your card, the details on it can be copied, such as card number, name etc. Which in turns mean whoever has these details can just input your card details to pay with for another transaction, just not made by you.

I'd definitely block your card, and your bank should be able to block any unauthorised transactions not made by you.
