Have you thought of trying Watchdog?

Just doin it now Sass xxx but tbh the thought of having to deal with this over xmas is getting me down,don't get me wrong not depressed but majorly tearfull and well stressed :grr:

I need them to help me short term,long term i'm going to complain to everyone that will listen,including watchdog

Edited to add,submitted complaint to watchdog,got automated response saying if they can help resolve my issue they will be in touch

have you thought about asking them to replace the key meter with a quartely meter, this may not resolve the problem bust at least you will be able to keep a daily check on how much you are using and you will not have to pay in advance, if the bill comes in then and it way out you will have more proof to be able to fight them with. Ps with the key meter make sure you keep all your top up payment slips as proof of how much you are feeding the meter. hth
