Hi guys in hoping you will be able to help me. When you get insurance to be mobile/home based are you only insured for the brand you are trained in or can you use any brand? I'm asking because I am currently doing training with young nails (the complete acrylic course). Does this mean I will only be able to use young nails products with my insurance. I have been looking at doing city and guilds level 3 at college also and if I do this does this mean I am insured to use any products? The college course does not include manicure and pedicure either so will I still be able to get insurance without doing these? Hope this all makes sense

I can use any professional peoducts with my insurance, but you will have to check with your insurance regarding this.

Usually a manicure course is your foundation, as it teaches you things like health and safety, contract indications, proper tool usage etc. Usually a manicure qualification is also required for any further education. Do you already hold a manicure/pedicure qualification?

No I don't have that qualification. I was thinking of doing it with CND

It's always best to check with your insurance company.

Usually if you are trained in a particular application eg. L&P you can use any brand of L&P you choose, if you are trained in gel you can use any brand of gel etc.

Always best to check though!
