New salon owner

Hey everyone,

Looking for a bit of advise on behalf of a friend!

She has recently taken over a hair and beauty salon, after being a fully qualified beauty therapist for 4 years. The salon used to mainly be a hairdressers (all employed) with a beauty therapy room, until recently where it is now rent a chair - they all look after their own stock. There's just one hairdresser who is part time employed.

Being new to the hairdressing industry, is there any advice you could give in how to control stock - from the backwash shampoos/conditioners to the tint and peroxide for one person?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

What systems(if any) does your friend have already? Some have stock control already in them?

The only way is for him to stay ther all the time or to have people who can trust, if they want to steal for him they will do no matter what
