Morning guys...

So yesterday I was absolutely over the moon to find out I passed my acrylic tip & overlay with a distinction ☺️

Anyway now that Iv calmed myself down a bit I need to start planning!
My minds gone blank and I do not know where to start lol!

I have been doing the essential nails course so have only used their products and the brush I got needs replacing as they are horrible!
Sooooooo....can anybody recommend any
•size 8 brushes
•and an acrylic system please (I don't really want to use EN powder & liquid)
•insurance
I'm obviously new to qualifying so still have lots to practise!
Anything else like tools etc etc then I'd appreciate it! Thank you xx

Hi, congratulations! I use NSI and have been using them for years. It's personal preference but it helps to do a bit of research on price, trying each company out and finding out how easy it is to get hold of, for example NSI I can order quickly online and sometimes they do free delivery and I can get it from my local Allan Howard's suppliers so I'm never without. Their acrylic brush that has the sparkle bit in the handle is amazing and if you look after it lasts ages. Iv used cnd, ezflow and famous names but NSI is my favourite. Their touch tab forms for sculpting I love as they go on really easily and quick. I get my insurance from pro beauty and costs about £50 for the year, again Google beauty insurance to do some research. My tools I couldn't do with out are my metal cuticle pusher and cuticle scissors, don't scrimp on these as the cheap ones are rubbish and don't do the job.
I would also suggest practising sculptures if you did it on your course, a lot of people prefer them and it's better if you can do both sculptures and tips, I found tips to be time consuming and messy, sculptures cut out so much time which customers will be thankful for.
Good luck

Hiya thanks for your reply,I have seen a lot of people use nsi so I may give that a whirl,I don't know if I can buy it yet though as it can take a few weeks for my certificate to come through! No Iv not done sculpting or the sculpting course but may do further down the line ☺️ Il look into the brushes too,I got two kolinsky ones from a beauty place few weeks ago and strands come out of both and it doesn't allow me to clear around the cuticle and side walls when I'm applying acrylic xx

I'm in exactly the same boat, a bit overwhelmed thinking what on earth do I do now! I use NSI (trained with it too).

Looking at investing in some gel polishes now, and obviously will be needing the lamp etc. Think I'm going to go with ibd, but there's so much choice I'm slightly baffled! Have a sculpting course on Tuesday, and also booked in for lashes, waxing, and a few other courses towards winter time. Can't wait, such a career change!

Iv brought gelaze gel polishes but not trained in it yet but Iv not worked on proper hands with the polish anyway! Iv just got a cheap eBay lamp as I do my own but will upgrade obviously Hope your venture goes well xx
