Omg just to let u guys know. In the markets some stalls are selling goldwell colours all written in foreign on the box's and there is no English section on the leaflets. ( I posed as a non hairdresser and asked questions)
I asked how do I use 6r, and was told to mix equal parts with 9% wtf!?!? My hair is bleached beyond a high lift expected result. No wonder there is so many disasters about!

Just beware and ask clients what peroxide they used as I was told 9% to darken.
All I can say is thank god I noticed the colour book and asked questions xoxo

Don’t you just love the job? haha, first sally’s sells the public salon exclusive products/colour and now they’re selling colours and advising them to use 9%!
I
f I ran the hairdressing ''world'' I would make sure that there is a law that states ''Under no-circumstances shall you as the client, colour your hair with a box ''dye'' or any other colour than a professional colour applied by a trained stylist'' .....Ahhh I can dream: P

Lol, yeah the money would be great, but at the same time we wouldn't get the opportunity to really shine and turn an awful situation into an exceptionally good one. Plus the double to triple wage for the correction xoxo

Hmmmm! good point, oh get colouring people! get colouring with gloss paint if you like! haha, oh I have to admit, when ive corrected a colour and the client smiles like a little girl and loves the hair....it actually makes me not want to leave the salon, I love that feeling with this job but unfortunately for the client, its an expensive feeling ahah we dont train for nothing :p :D

Nope we don't train for nothing and we don't work hard and end up putting our backs out in later life for nothing xoxo

Very true, we need more respect becuase im sick and tired of people saying '' oh im a hairdresser'' no darling, your not, you can use a set of tongs and maybe cut the odd split end, but that doesnt mean your a professinal...wow thats bitchy, but its true :/ and then you get the ones who have done VRQ Level 1 and they think there the next vidal sasson...oh dont get me started :irked:

I'm glad I done my nvq, just found out what a vqr is and to be fair I prefer the idea as I don't think level 1&2 being a year each is enough, but I don't like the idea perms are now missing, I love perms so would be a bit upset if I wasn't taught and I dread the disasters I will see from people who arent qualified attempting to do a perm in the future xoxo

Oh I agree, I think a minimum of 3 years for 1&2 should be mandatory. I love perms, I did one yesterday, it was great! Arsy client though, she tried telling the client next to her, that her hair looks like a question mark!? Since when did short graduation become a ? haha :D

Lol maybe it was the shape of her head? Lol I'm gonna spend all day looking for question mark shaped hair.
I'm guessing it would be a low ponytail clipped up the head and curled over with a s**t load of hairspray to get it to hold off the head.
But hey rude woman, I'd have put 1 rod in so tight she cringed as much as the stylist of question mark head lady must have xoxo

hahaha! No honestly it was just a basic bob with short graduation, and apparently it was a ?. Well first, I did put a rod in tight, right on the nape of her neck to shut her up, and then after the diffuser dropped on top of her head when I was drying, I thought she was dead at one point, she didnt say anything she just sat there holding her head :/ ooops

No goldwell is 1 to 2 unless gray coverage it's equal, 6 r is level 6 red

hi hon i think theres been a confusion - 9% is equal to 30vol which is for approx 3 shades lightening. think you are taking in vol not percentage... 10vol for depositing colour which is 3%. x

Makes it worse that it's 1 to 2 mix, what are these poor people doing? Xoxo

Yes I was confused thank u bc we do have 9% for our demi color.
