OPI nail treatments?

Hi, I have a client who has been having an OPI nail treatment underneath gel polish every two weeks since April. She has come to me because she is not happy with the salon or the treatment. I have not used OPI and have no knowledge of the treatments. I looked them up and they seem simple enough, except for the fact that I cannot remove whatever was underneath the gel polisah. The client doesn't know which treatment was used. It has not improved her nails at all. I couldn't remove it all with acetone and had to gently buff of some but there is still traces of it. So I am going to keep her nails bare for the next month or so to try and sort this out. Her nails are thin and brittle. The OPI site says treatments can be used under lacquer but mentions nothing about gel polish. Can anyone tell me anything about OPI treatments please? Thanks

N, its not hard gel. Its very sticky and seems like a base coat but thicker and it doesnt want to come off.
