hi ladies I was wondering if anyone else suffers with peeling skin in their fingers when using Gelish? I've been suffering with it on and off since I trained and it's making my hands look terrible. I've started to wonder if it's the gel cleanser as used a different gel cleanser and didn't seem to dry as much. Any help would be appreciated.

I can't see your reply?

It could be a reaction caused by overexposure to any of the products you've used, have you tried using gloves?

Yes but it still seems to happen! It's happened on my toes of which I also have Gelish on

:( I'd go to your GP to get that checked out, as you will only be making it worse.

It doesn't look as bad at the min, As been using a balm also seem to be getting more lifting with it too

If the skin peeling is happening on your hands and toes then at a guess I'd say ta an allergy to something you are using.
But I'm no doctor, definitely go and see your gp and get checked out x

It definitely sounds like you have developed an allergy to the products you're using. You will need to review your working practices, ensuring that no uncured product touches your skin (or clients!).
Which gloves have you tried? Some people have found success with nitrile gloves.

It probably does on me! I'm messy on myself I use nitrile gloves when doing others but not on myself

I used gelish for a long time on others and myself. A while ago I started getting itchy after using it on myself to the point of having to take allergy medication to be able to sleep. Then the skin on all my fingers peeled to the first knuckle and my nails started to lift!! Needless to say this finally got my attention and found out that I'm now allergic to most gel polishes- all I've tried anyway. I am able to us Shellac with no problems whatsoever thank heavens! Please don't wait to see you doctor and find out what's going on. I feel so stupid that I waited so long and could hear done permanent damage to myself. I am super careful now when doing clients- use gloves always and even when doing my own nails I do one hand at a time completely with a glove on the other hand.

Where on your fingers is it? I get dryness and peeling on the tip of my index finger but I think that's because of holding alcohol saturated pads and using hand sanitiser.

Mine was top and bottom right to first knuckle-just awful
