The nails I do look like your pic Bev....more flattering, natural and classy. xxx

Not many of the nails i have done for clients have been completely square (only about 5%), most have been soft square (about 65%) and the rest round. I ask clients what shape they prefer, and if it suits their nail shape & lifesstyle i will do it, if not i will try to pursuade them otherwise.

For my own i prefer round or stiletto so i dont catch any corners, but at the moment i'm wearing soft square, which i have managed to bash so many times :smack:

Hi, I like all types of nail enhancements if they are done well , but on myself I like longish square ones
with the sharp edges gently filed  x

.

suppose to always mirror the shape the cuticle.but squoval looks nice at any length my opinion:Grope:

thats the general guideline for the smile line hun :wink2:

FE take into account the whole lot, shape of hand, shape of finger, shape of nail etc

In my neck of the woods (Quebec, Canada); Square is the way to go. It's the trend.
Oval or pointy is usually only seen on VERY VERY VERY mature women...(didn't want to say 'old')

While part of me agrees that oval 'seems' more natural on one hand... the nails don't naturally taper themselves oval, so I personally would NOT say it's a more natural look.
You can file natural nails into any shape you like. Square, almond or stilletoe. So, in my opinion, neither is more natural than the other.

I do think that oval, on the RIGHT hands, and in the right length is very attractive. I also think that short fingers with short oval nails look dreadful and than they do tend to look like buttons when they are 'short' or 'active' length.

On my own, I tend to wear them very square or squoval. I've tried oval on me, drove me mad and hated them. Dont know why. Just did.
Here are mine.

(Mine in this one, are the mocha/brown leopard)

So, like I said.
I do not think that 'square' screams 'fake'.
Since, those are NATURAL nails with NO overlay.

And they are 100% REAL.

Square is great as long as they sidewalls of the free Edge are tapperd in so they don't fan out!!!! Very Elegant
