Can anyone give me an idea of what prices they charge as a moblie hairdresser doing a trial run and then the hair on the day for a school prom ! Thank you :)

For me it depends on what's being done, if it's a simple style it's £35 including a free consultation and mini trial (if it's being curled first it's a quick curl with the flat irons and put into the concept of the style but not over critiqued or finished, that way they get more of a wow on the day and keeps my timings down.

For more complicated styles my prices range from £40 to £100, £100 being extremely hard to do or requiring buying in hair pieces, sometimes having to colour them before going to the trial with the exact same colour the client uses for an exact match. Some take using wire to create a form for inside the hair to pack it out but keep the weight down, others wire to be wrapped in the hair to create extra hold without it looking or being rock solid with hair spray.

Bridal hair can be anywhere from £50 to £200, but do include 2 trials, one quick trial like in the prom hair, one full trial which shows the exact finish that I recommend to be done on the same day as one of te dress fittings to see how it works with the veil or hair accessories and the finished look when with the dress. The day before the wedding I go and wash and blowdry/set the hair for the bride and tell them not to wash it on the day so time is cut down with pre styling, gives a nice treat for the stressed out bride to be and I know what to expect te next day. Xoxo

Thanx that a fab help! I do feel when ive done wedding hair before the trial runs take up so much time it puts me of a little doing them !
Looking forward though to the proms i have booked in and think around £35 is good price thanx again x x
