Well it cleared up......but what a let down. The stalls were rubbish. There were only two food stalls, one doing crepes and one doing a grey stew type watery horrible looking thing. The queues were 30 deep for both. There was no food sampling (my favourite). There was a McMillan cancer research stall (inappropriate) and just other junk not relating to France in any way, shape or form. We spent 8 minutes going round to see what every stall had to offer. I think there may have been 7 in all and then we went off to our village deli for a sandwich.
We ordered paninis while watching two blow flies swimming in the blood surrounding the rare roast beef. I'm there thinking about the eggs they're laying and my OH is feeling sick. Vowed to never to return to the village deli.
All in all, not a good day. :irked:
Better say something cheerful now. The sun is out, OH has returned to his man hole early to watch the footy, I'm in my jimmy jams about to have a glass of vino. Got to look on the bright side. And we had a lovely family day yesterday.
Salted caramel icecream with crushed meringues.
Your deli sounds similar to our Tesco express.
A good thing about today. Hmmm...errrrr....welllll......
It's nearly over...........that is cheerful. I like sleeping.
