Hey all

I am looking to do a reflexology course - does anyone:
1) know what companies are good?
2) know how long the course should be?
3) what kind of price region?

thanks beckix

Hello

IMO the best route to go is to get onto an AoR (Association of Reflexologists) course. Their website is The Association of Reflexologists - Delivering Excellence In Reflexology (sorry I can't do links!). This gives a list of their approved schools.

They are usually held over ten+ months, 2 days a month at weekends, this varies from school to school.

You could go to the local tech and do a year long course but IMO it just doesn't compare with the amount of theory and no. of case studies you have to do on an AoR course.

The costs vary widely depending on which school you go to, but again these are on the site (I think!)

The reflexology course i did was a VTCT 12 week intensive course. It was good, i did it along side my NVQ3 beauty so i just cross-referenced alot of the theory work to my beauty portfolio. I'm not sure about the cost of it as i didn't have to pay. Having the A&P background from my beauty training helped as there is an awful lot to learn and we had to do 4 (if i remember correctly) case studies at home as well as clients in college.

Why don't you have a look for "taster" lessons locally, they are usually only 1 day long and it will give you an idea if you like it before you fork out for a full course.
