Hey, im a newbie looking for abit of advice and reassurance.

I'm VRQ Level 2 trained and currently doing my NVQ 2.

My hair is currently a base of a 3 with a vibrant red/plum tone. I'm wanting to go blonde in time for summer.. slowly but surely to help maintain the condition of my hair.

I was thinking about bleach bathing my hair every so often, leaving a good few weeks inbetween and doing conditioning treatments. Then putting a semi ashy colour on gradually getting lighter and lighter. My hair isn't in bad condition but i want to avoid comprising it too much.

But where to start, if I bleach bath my hair with 6% what colour should I put on after? I'm not sure how light it will go being a base of a 3 now & how ashy the colour has to be?

Any advice would be much appreciated :).

All in all I would like to go to a light blonde. But as I want to maintain the condition I would like to go down 2-3 shades each times if I can. I also really want to avoid going brassy.

If your a 3 naturally you will never successfully get a nice light blonde! Your too dark naturally, you will get a gold 8 at the most x

Oh no, sorry that is dyed. I have been very blonde a couple of years ago but took the plunge to go to the dark side. I am naturally about a base shade of a 6.

May not be what u want but i did a friend hair over the last month.she had deep red and wanted candy floss pink so took her blond first. I did 2 lots of full head highlights over the month and it worked really well.x
