Hi,

I am currently in the process of opening my cabin salon. I have been recommended a girl that hates her current job in a local salon and would be interested in coming to me to do lash extentions (which I don't currently do) So, the question is, do I charge her rent for a space or a percentage per client? And if a percentage then what percent? She will supply her own stuff. She will also be bringing in her own exsisting clients which will probably help my business by bringing new customers to me.

I'm totally new to all of this and dont really want to go down the employment route as yet.

Thanks all ;)

Personally if she is bringing her own clientele and provides her own products and equipment a set amount is better for the day/week. You will know exactly what you will get each week and don’t need to worry about keeping tabs on what she is charging to work out your percentage. You could maybe do some packages to include a treatment you each provide to try and help both of you benefit from the agreement.
