Room rental?

Hi everyone, I have a beauty salon and I am the only employed member of staff. I am wanting to rent out a room to someone self employed. My question is when you have rent off a self employed tenant, do I but it through my till and books as rent? Or is there something else I need to call it. Sorry if this questions sounds silly, I’m just not sure. So what do other salon owners who rent a room call it? Thanks in advance.

Yes, it should be classified as Rental Income.
