How is everyone doing? Couldn't agree more with EdenHair, Pika I think you're a fabulous Mummy and your wee one isn't even here yet ♡

So how many ladies have we still got to go yet? I'm 39 weeks today and Max has been toying with me for a week. I do believe the boy thinks he has squatters rights! Bump is soooo low, pressure pains, pelvis feels like it's being pushed out, savage piles and Braxton Hicks galore but nada. I can't wait to get off a sofa properly or out of bed without doing an emergency roll! Come on Max!

Hope you're all keeping well and also enjoying your new babes. Im going to have a pamper day today, so bath and tidy up lol and finally get round to Shellacing my own nails they've been naked for weeks

I still have 6 weeks and 3 days to go till my due date!!! Feel like it is dragging in now and will be even worse when I finish work in 2 weeks.

This is my first so have a feeling I will go over but hoping I am wrong.

I think I will be a new woman when the baby comes and can hopefully go back to being sickness and nausea free!!!

Hope everyone else is doing well and pregnancies are progressing well xxxx

I'm ok pgp has been kind thank goodness but awful piles booooo. I've had a show tonight and period type pains and he's been toying with me for a week(!) but no real contractions. One week to go but I have a feeling hes going to hang on now.

Hope you don't mind me chipping in. I've got a looooong way to go. 11 weeks today, got my blood tests and urine tests with midwife this afternoon and my first scan in 2 weeks. Just seen your comments about sleep deprivation, sore hips and piles... Eeeek so many delights to look forward to but all worth it no doubt

If anyone had told me something like this would be happening in my life, I would say I would never cope with it. But it's amazing the strength you find when you're faced with it and have no other option we were offered a termination at 21 weeks but I would have had to give birth anyway and our decision was to carry on and hope all turns out well. And I'm believing that even if I only get a few minutes with her, at least we tried and didn't give up on her, and those few minutes will make the last 38 weeks worth it

My litttle boy is 5 weeks old ,
I took him to a&e due to vomiting and high temp
He got admitted with a uti and was on iv anti biotics,
They gave him an ultra sound on his kidneys and he had what looks like the start of an abscess , hes continuing with his medication and a rescan on the 7th may
If the abscess hasn't gone they said it could be a tumor x

Fingers crossed my little man only had an abscess xxx

Very happy mummy and daddy after today's appmt, Mia's liver has gone back up in her chest cavity slightly but my fluid levels have gone from 25cm to 11cm in 10 days, and we could see her chest moving up and down where her lungs are practicing breathing which our consultant said is a very good sign as it shows she is a healthy baby she's definitely proving she's trying to fight already
Just wanted to also say thankyou ladies for your support and lovely words, it's people like you that are helping keep me strong xxx

That's great news Pika! Keep thinking positive!

I'm 16+1 today and suffering with headaches most days. Seeing the midwife on Wednesday for the routine 16 week appt. Feels like I've got so far to go but we're moving in 3 weeks so i'm sure time will go quickly.

Hi Pika when you say fluid do you mean your amniotic fluid?

Mine used to go up down up down, I had to have weekly scans as I had polyhydramnios, one week it would be 29cm then 20cm then up again then back down again, at 37 weeks it dropped to 9cm then went back up again to 16cm & it stayed around that until Taylor was born at 39 weeks.

is the fluid to do with Mia's condition?

They said to me my polyhydramnios could be caused by an undetected birth defect so I was always worried, but very thankfully it was nothing, but I spent the last 10 weeks of my pregnancy fearing the worst & I used to dread my weekly scans as they were looking for what was causing it.

I really Hope Mia is ok, your appointment sounded positive today.

Hiya, yeah it's polyhydramnios I was diagnosed with aswel, I'm hoping and praying it doesn't increase too much now I'm off the tablets that were controlling it. They've said it's because she's not swallowing as much fluid as she should be which is to do with her condition as her tubes are a bit squashed between her lungs and other organs in her chest. But yes we were so happy with yesterday's appointment they don't want me back in for another fortnight so I'm taking that as a good sign as I'll be 34 weeks by then
Did they ever find out what caused your amniotic fluid to increase? Xxx
