Silencer for Parlux dryers

Has anyone used one of the silencers parlux has bought out for use with their hair driers? I've seen them and been tempted to try it but thought I'd see if anyone else had tried it first. I do a few elderly lady's that speak very quietly and I have to keep turning off my drier when they are trying to talk to me, I'm thought this may help me hear them without having to stop what I'm doing.

There was a thread a few weeks back about then and someone who had one said there wasn't enough of a difference. To be fair though for the strength of the drier I don't think it's particularly loud. Xoxo

I bought one and it takes it from loud to medium noise,
like if you had it on medium setting.
Also I used it on my other dryer which is a diva and it works just as well.

Does it alter the weight/balance of the hairdryer much?
