How can anyone eat 15 muller lights!!!! Its ridiculous. I used to work with a girl years ago who would sit and eat an entire cooked chicken every dinner time because she could! I can eat a lot and have a big appetite but know that isn't right!

My friend has about 3 mug shots a day on top of her meals and wonders why she's not losing weight. "They're free" she says. Yes dear but your stuffing in an extra 600 calories a day!

Yes, it IS ridiculous and that's why weight losses are often so slow with SW - because so many people just don't understand calories - and don't want to once they've been indoctrinated by SW that it's 'Free.'

My best friend, despite my best efforts, still doesn't get it. I can explain until I'm blue in the face and she'll still say 'But SW says it's free!' She is an otherwise intelligent woman but a calorific numbskull. I think the root of the matter is that she doesn't want to educate herself about weight loss and likes their propaganda. The bit she can't come to terms with, though, is her ever expanding bum!

Yes, my aforementioned best friend has discovered the magical non weight loss properties of mug shots, too, all on the basis of what SW tells her regarding their abundant 'Free' qualities. I have tried to explain the need for keeping your protein intake quite high, because it keeps you feeling full for longer, and she looks at me every time like I'm talking nuclear physics or something!!

I pointed out the nutritional breakdown on the back of the mug shots packets and the poor protein content, but I was back on the nuclear physics as far as she was concerned. It's been like this forever and, meanwhile, her backside continues to grow - and grow. :grr:

I like mugshots but have just the 1 plus some salad or chopped up veggies with it as a quick dinner at work but I wouldn't eat several just because they're free. Our consultant is very good about explaining this and encourages us to fill up on fruit/veg. I like sw and it works for me but I do know my portion sizes had gradually crept up so cut them down to what they were and hey presto the weight is shifting again!

It really is the only way and I KNOW I'm going to be hungry without a decent helping of protein at each meal. My consultant is one of very long standing service and somewhat ample proportions, I have to say, and she's not so hot on the nitty gritty of it all.

I am quite happy to go to the meetings from time to time for the discipline of getting weighed and the feeling of being with others in the same weight loss boat. I incorporate a lot of their ideas into my routine and I give them top marks for creativity on a lot of things. I am more than happy to eat half syn cake (approx 500 cals for the whole thing, which is really filling and satisfying, a quarter at a session) and to scoff a cooked weetabix/egg concoction as another type of 'Cake,' but I completely disregard all the 'Free' claptrap. :wink2:

Well done Amy!!! Did you do anything different to achieve this fab loss?? I remained the same. I haven't been great and it's my own fault! Started walking again yesterday! Will be away for a couple of days next week so won't get going! I keep saying I will be better for the next time, but it just hasn't happened. Hope the rest of you are doing good!

Well I walked my puppy a couple of times, that's all, I wasn't expecting it at all

Ahhh hun! Keep going and it'll come off! We're going to a ball on Saturday & thanks to all my yo-yoing I'm only 6lb lighter than last years ball. But I keep on plodding on with it!
