hi ,I need some advise as I’m a sole trader with a beauty salon that I have had for 8 years my lease is till July next year but I have just lost all drive to carry on now and want out , how do I go about it any advice would be appreciated
 
If your lease is up next year, I doubt you would sell it. As there's no guarantee it will be renewed

Goodwill isn’t really worth anything as clients won’t necessarily remain loyal to the salon and with a short lease, there’s not much to tempt buyers other than second hand equipment.
 
You need to talk to someone who specialises in selling small businesses, your client base has a sale value. Put together a viable package, discuss a new lease term with your landlords, get help to prepare a presentation so prospective buyers can see the viability of the business. Get expert advice, it's worth it.
 
I don’t think your business is saleable but your assets are.
