Hi there, was wondering if anyone had trained with Surrey hair academy?? I was hoping to get some feedback on the course with regards to adequate training, value for money etc, any help would be much appreciated. Thank you x

Are they habia approved?
A lot of people selling courses, but aren't actually accredited!xxx

I did my training with Lush Us Uk. The training wasy very in depth in comparison to a lot of other companies. Also trained on a live person not a training head!! have a look on their website they were great.

App they are just waiting to be approved, but they do offer a certificate that allows you to get insurance?

I have also been told that even if the trainer is habia approved i would not be able to get a habia certificate or say i have been trined by habia as i am not a qualified hairdresser, although i have lots of exp, does anyone know fi this is true? if so then it prob makes no difference if they are habia approved or not????

I have also looked into lush us uk and was actually hoping to do their course as the trainer gave me lots of info on the phone and they sound fab, the only thing is they have no training dates scheduled, and i want to get this done ASAP - surrey academy have dates early oct XX

If you attend a Habia approved course - it is purely the course that is habia approved - not you. Even as a qualified hairdresser this just means that you can use the course hours towards your CPD. I think he most important thing to look for if you're not a hairdresser is that your course would be recognised by your prospective insurance company and I would question anyone awaiting Habia approval - ask the question how well established are they, how many years have they been in business? There are so many fly by nights and it's easy to make a one man band appear to be more than it is on the internet! I'm not suggesting Surray Academy are but I do know there are so many bandits in this industry, and so many people are being ripped off so please please trust your instinct and wait for the right course! I feel it would be better to pick a provider who has lots of experience in training. I've just spoken to my key account manager at Lush Us because I have been incorrectly displaying the habia logo on my website and she has informed me that their training has now been completely upgraded, includes on line theory training as well as the practical and she's just asked me if I'd like to take it for free! Now that is what I call service!! PS They have just listed new dates down South. Good luck xx
