For all of you mobile techs i need some advice.

When your mobile do you set a radius of how far you will travel too?? and if someone lives further away how much do you add to the service? and do are clients willing to pay the extra??

In the last few weeks i have had many enquirys for potential clients that are quite a distance away and dont know what to do i did say to one that i could do it but i would have to add more for my fuel but she wasnt prepared to pay any more than what i have advertised!!

Im a mobile hair extensionist and I also have people from quite far distances, I say within a 10mile radius of me its free for me to travel to them, any more and I charge 50p per mile but sometimes will just give a price and most people will be fine with it! Like an hour away £15-£20 travel and petrol etc.

It may be differnt because my service take good few hours and people like having it done in their own home,as long as u do a good job normally ppl dont begrudge payin the extra.

I'm similar - travel within 10 miles then charge 40p per mile extra over that distance.

Most people happy to pay.
