only drink every 3 or 4 months, and apart from the post xmas party:lol: it would normally be 1 glass of wine. I don't smoke and never....................
:green::green::green:
I used to drink by the bucket full, it was part of the life style and it never worried me, smoked like a chimney to, then my best mate got breast cancer, followed by stomach cancer, she's still with us, thank god and she's been free of cancer for 9 years, but it makes you stop and think about whats important,
like living to see your kids grown, making sure they grow up to respect their own bodies and minds, it gets pretty deep when you find your self stood out side the oncology unit with a *** in your hand watching all the drunks who are drying out, and have liver failure standing outside with their shaking hands trying to have a *** with you.
Life is to short to waste.

I enjoy my gin & tonics.

The way I see it is this.....I don't go out socialising in the evenings, I'm mostly working, finish about 7.30 - 8.30pm.

I then need to unwind.....the fact I may of only had 1 or 2 clients is irrelevant, unwinding is needed.

This evening, my client left at 6.40pm. I'm still unwinding....3hrs & 9 mins later. I'm having my G&T's.

If I was honest, I would say I drink about 4-5 nights a week. Some of those nights could be 1 bottle of beer or 3 home made G&T's. But once I've eaten, that's it. Can't drink ANY alcohol whatsoever.
If I had my tea early, I'd be a tee-totaller? (sp?)

having a friend who is an alcoholic has made me STOP drinking. I have given up for lent, not that i drank a lot anyway but when i see the states she gets into its put me right off.

I do enjoy a few drinks when i go out - but in moderation xx

How many others admit you drink too much wine, Im hoping there will be loads of you by the way , so I wont feel so guilty
I enjoy a glass or 3 of rioja, but I wouldn't say I drink too much wine, however, I could be in denial!!! :smack:

I think the fact that wine has got so cheap has greatly contributed to this problem (if you feel it is a problem).
Cheap wine??? In the UK??? It can't be true
I can get a decent bottle of red wine here for less than 2.00€ a bottle... when we lived in UK I couldn't get a 'decent' bottle of red for less than £5.00 a bottle... unless it's got cheaper in the last 4 years???

i only have a small dry sherry at christmas!!!!
You're a freakin liar liar pants on fire   but I love ya

I like a glass of wine, likewise, I enjoy a glass or two or vodka and diet coke... doesn't mean I'm alcohol dependant, it just means I enjoy a glass of one of my fave tipples... I don't 'look' for a drink during the day, and I quite often go without a bevvy for weeks, but when I 'fancy a glass or two' I have them... no harm in that, providing it isn't to excess every time
