Hi, i have a client who is base 10/1 hi lighted, with some bleach hi lights too, and is now having her roots done (base 8\0) full head foils.
This time i am going to use 10/1 as normal, but swap the bleach to 12/61 +12%, my problem is, should i just put this on the roots? obviously the ends will need colouring as well to match the 12/61 0n the roots, but i think it will grab on the lightend mid lenghs and ends.... any ideas?

Anyone have any ideas? i hate to beg but she is in tomorrow and im really un sure?! :o

Just keep using bleach because there won't be enough difference between the 10/1 and the 12/61 :) x

You could always use 12-16 roots then 9-16?ends with pastel

:/ 9/16 with pastel on prelightened hair is going to be a nice pinky ashy dull colour especially in foils, plus te 12/16 or 12/61 is still gunna leave warmth in so it wouldn't blend. What natural base is she again?

Always worked great for me but I know wella have changed their high lifts and done seem as powerful as they used to be

Yeah they always seem to lift up warm :/ I end up adding mixer tone all the time

Thanks for replies :)
Im swapping to 12/61 because the client really likes this colour! i might even chage the 10/1 to something eles...
Blue if i used the 12/61 on roots and 9/16 colour touch on ends i it would be a slightly different colour, because the ends need some lift also being only a 10 and some darker.
She is natural base 8, im thinking the only way to do this is to go over each individual fiol with the 12/61 for last 5 mins, just will be a pain and i think it will grab!
what a nightmare lol!xx

Try wella technical helpline, they will tell ya what's best

What a good idea! ill let you know what they say:)

ok so wella helpline said to either use the 12/61 0n the roots and something like a 10/38 with 6% on the ends because the 12/61 will still show up some warm and should match well. Otherwise she said to go with a 10/0 with 9% to give it a bit of lift, but that might look too warm against the 12/61.
So i think im going go go with a 10/38 but use 9% even though she said just use 6 because tint wont lift tint but i think it will a little ;)
Just thought id let you know :)
