Client dyed her own hair to strawberry blond, from black.
She as asked me if I can get it to a natural blonde. I thought about using a colour touch as her hair will not take much more!

Tested it with 8/81 it didn't quite take enough tone out! Would I have to add /88 to this if so how much? Attached picture of her hair, it doesn't look that bad in picture but it is warmer in person

I use 15ml to every tube, but with colour touch I'd change it to 10ml to every 60ml tube :) also its quite red so maybe try adding 0/28 aswell :)

Don't think that I need the /28. When I tested it with pastel 9/1 and /11 it had taken out all the tone. I just added a bit to much /11 i think, has was a bit khaki in light? May have needed some blue/voilet??

But I thought that has the hairs porous that it would hold better with colour touch and it would be more conditioning!!

Will test again with 8/81 and /88. It just scares me /88, just looks so blue!! Would you say 30ml 8/81 then to 5 ml of /88 and 70ml 1.9% developer?? Has said the 8/81 alone was almost there just needed to reduce a bit more warmth...
I open to different suggestions

Yeah CT would be great for this, I would use as you said 30ml of 8/81 and 5ml of 0/88 with 1.9%. Leave it on for the full 25 minutes and if its a bit darker then just shampoo once to remove colour build up :)

Will not take diffents on the light areas

Sent from my HTC Desire using SalonGeek

I was thinking of doing it on dry hair, do you think that it will be fine! She has fine hair, or would you do it on damp. Going to spray with a porosity equalizer first...

R u saying that cause I'm using ct, that the colour will turn our more even than if I was to use koleston . Thanks

What ever you do colourise I'd keep a very close eye as its developing hair that has been lifted can be unpredictable and it looks MEGA porous! Good luck

Yes I will keep an eye in her.. I will not book anyone in until I've done it! I don't want to make a mess of it!

Tbh I don't think it's light enough to get a blonde(what clients will perceive as blonde), what's the condition like? Is she having abit cut off? See Id be tempted to put a few blondor and pastel foils in and try the mix above, the only thing is it's pretty light underneath and in parts, I'd just be worried about abit of blue coming through :/

If it was me id have to darken it slightly but with foils it wouldn't look to bad try a 7.

If you are wanting to keep it light and not mess around with foils, I'd just tone with 8/81 then have a look if it needs extra toning use colour fresh or something at least then you're in control abit better and you won't have to mess around bleach bathing it of it goes blue haha :)

It's sometimes hard to give an opinion when you can't see it infront of you.

No wouldn't take any bleach. And she doesn't want to go darker. I can't say what base she is as there's no root showing. But she says is a fairly blonde naturally hence wanting to go back lighter has she was fed up if her roots coming through.

Yes the /88 scares me !!!!! I thought about it coming out too blue may be less special mix 2.5ml.

If I used 8/81 alone what would you use after in colour fresh or perfection???

I suppose If still warm after 8/81 I could was her hair in silver shampoo and leave for a few mins!!

I would deffo shampoo and towel dry, and yeah spray with porosity equaliser :)

Just depends, ideally rather than completely removing all the warm tone the best thing to do is get is as even as possible even if it is slightly warm. Attack with 8/81 full development see what it comes out like, if you take it off and it's even but still a little warm just put some 8/81 colour fresh on, or 10/81 with a couple mls of 5/19 :)
