Oh yes, Torchwood! Good old John Barrowman! Sonia and I are both big fans of his - especially thanks to Russell T Davies casting him as someone who is openly bisexual too! And he has a fab singing voice to boot - we've got his album "Another Side" where he sings some fantastic cover versions of songs such as "You're So Vain", "Your Song" and "Heaven"...

I am a huge fan of John Barrowman, I don't have any of his cd's, but I think he is a terrific performer and actor. Did you see him on Strictly sunday night? I also think he is a lovely person, I've seen him in interviews and he comes across as a very happy and genuine person.

Alas we missed him in Strictly on Saturday night; we were driving back from Birmingham after a nice afternoon out visiting the German Christmas Market then...

He definitely sounds like a lovely person; we've got his autobiography here too (both the book and the CD) and he comes across as being very genuine and down-to-earth there...

He is a patron of the charity I work for and he is lovely in real life too! And he LOVES his dogs which is good enough for me! He took one of ours(from the centre obviously not one of my own!) A little terrier x but I can't remember her name. Graham nortan took a terrier called Madge and he is lovely! I had to take one of our dogs to the studios for a feature he was doing with Julia Sawalha on his show and we walked Cookie (the centre dog) and his labradoodle along the south bank together and he remembered my name 4 months later when he came to get Madge! Sorry totally off topic! Lx

Hi Everyone

On here lately there have been a couple of different threads about a Geeky Book Club and Favourite Christmas Movie. So I thought it might be interesting to do a top 5 favourite films and a top 5 favourite television programmes.

Especially now that the nights are cold and often miserable I thought it might give us some rental ideas (films mainly) over the winter months. I suspect a lot we will have seen already but there will be some that us geeks won't have seen. Also it might even encourage some discussions, I love discussing a good film/programme. So heres my top five:

Films
  1. Terminator Series
  2. Alien Series (with Sigourney Weaver only)
  3. Thelma and Louise
  4. Erin Brochovich
  5. Happy Gilmore
Television
  1. The Vicar of Dibley
  2. Sex and the City
  3. Greys Anatomy
  4. 24
  5. Lipstick Jungle
