hi my hair is very long just past the middle of my back but last year i had disconnected layers and now its all diffrent lengths as im trying to grow the layers out .. so i cant wear it down as it looks a mess so im having to style my hair every day which is causeing damage as never has a rest.. and recently i went from black to lighter colour and now the ends on the longest hair is very porus and dry feels awful .. i just dont know whats best to do wether to stick at and try grow all same length or chop it all off in to a bob and start again? what do you geeks would think would be best?

Cut off the damage keeping it as long as possible and blend te shortest layer to the ends, that way you can wear it down while it grows out. Think back to childhood when thinking about starting again and the nightmares when it gets to the length you can't do anything with xoxo

yea but my shoryest layer is short i reckon to blend its going to have to be cut to at least just below my shoulders :-( this is the longest ive ever had it as like you said it gets to that length where you cant do anything with it so you give in and have it cut again and on the longest id say needs 3 to 4 inchs taken off .. if only you could turn back so i didnt have the silly disconnected look lol x

Then cut off 4" and have the layers blended in, a bit of over direction should do it xoxo
