Hmm,shes just texted me ..9 hours later IMA..aplolgising ,forgot,no credit to check messages, will call next week to rebook.!!!!:irked:

Do you charge her for petrol? You gave her homecare advise she chose against it so you shouldn't really be making it a problem. I would tell her that unless she follows your homecare advise you would not fix it free of charge. To be honest sounds like you don't really need her as a client petrol is not that cheap now and she doesn't really listen to your homecare advise . I had someone like that i kept on telling her, i got fed up and eventually i kept on telling her that i was fully booked and couldn't fit her in and she soon gave up. Good luck. :)
Hi ya,Ive come on here tonight to have a moan about one of my clients this morning, her appointment was at 9.15,she texted me at 8.30 to say she was running late will be home at 9.30, I got to her house at 9.25 ,she turnt up at 9.45..half an hour late!!

She is an ex MMA client she is quite a new client to me , probly about 4 weeks ago she came to me to have infills that hadnt been done for 5 weeks since the MMA salon, and also a nail replacement on a Saturday.

After her treatment I said would you like to book in an appointment for two weeks time..TWO WEEKS ..she said I can go 4 weeks without infills,so we made it 3 weeks. The following Saturday she phones me,with a broken nail ,as I was in the area I dropped in and replaced it .Said to her see you in a couple of weeks...the following Saturday she phones me again ..one of the infills Id done had popped off of the MMA nails, one of the MMA nails had cracked, and also the nail that Id replaced on the ex MMA now trashed nail bed ,had come off.I apologised and said I couldnt make it,and anyhow her appointment was in two days time,so couldnt she wait?and so she decided to .

Today I goes to her, first she turns up late, repairs these three nails ,shes still not interested in getting infills till another 2 weeks time. She kept faffing on about this nail that had popped off,I explained the concequenses of having MMA nails and the fact we may have problems with my acrylic adhering to the MMA for a while.I then said to her about taking some of the length off,as the nail would of grown and be out of proportion, and she said ..oh no Ive always had my nails really long, and keeps on saying Ive worn acrylic for 18 months and had no problems...when truely shes worn MMA for the past 18 months ... she thinks she can have extra long nails with my acrylic, and expect to be able to grab her dog if need be ,without it doing any damage..I eventually took so much and ended up saying to her, well if you want to go back to the MMA nails because you want the extra strength, then carry on ,but just remember they will trash your natural nail..to that she said..oh no Im going to stay with you.:irked:

Anyhow like I said before shes now booked in for infills in another two weeks ,so thats going to be a good 5 weeks without infills, but I can guarantee shes going to be back on the phone again before then..but what do you do jump and go and repair ?tell her your fully booked?

Im mobile and I just dont like the idea of going to someones house to repair one nail, which Im sure nobody else would apreciate too_Oh and she has six St Bernard dogs, which are so goergous, but I always come away from there minging of dog.!!:irked:

Hi, Ive come to learn over the years, you will always get some irritating clients who are extremely unrealiable, always late, some are cheap skates, one has ripped me off when it was time to pay "she forgot her purse" and never came back. etc etc They are not worth your time or money.

I came to learn YOU do NOT need clients like that! There are plenty of nice, reliable people who ARE on time, apprecaite their nails etc, these are the ones you want to keep

I keep a big roll of sticky tape, to seal theirm ouths and tape their hands to the desk.

Failing that i use it to tape them up and shove them in the cupboard.

I had a friend of mine who came to me regularly because her nails kept falling off and I would accommodate her by doing her nails, then one day I decided to calculate how much I had lost in doing free treatments and nearly passed out. To make matters worse I found out she was using her nails as tool and not jewels and I was not happy.

In Debbie's situation a lesson has to be learnt here which is... as a professional we need to draw the line and decide when we really can't help the client, thouough questions have to be asked in a diplomatic way because a shop keeper would not tollorate a customer coming in and complaining and asking for replacements all the time. Furthermore, Debbie will feel at some point that her work is not up to scratch :). I now wonder whether other customers keep coming back or is it just this one customer. I would be inclined to go through the aftercare advice very slowly and just be frank with her and let her know that perhaps she should take a break and have manicures for a while and start again with acrylics afterwards. This way you will still keep her as a client. Hope this is helpful.
