I notice many of you have groups/ business ones...is this a better way to do it than have a 'page' ? Am a bit confused about the difference between them all!

A business page is what is recommended & is what I have.

Groups are also for businesses. I actually started my group before my page & really, really struggled to get new members. I then started promoting my page a bit more & it just snow balled.

Some people run their 'page' as a 'person profile'. This is ok, but, if you are found out by facebook to be running competitions, doing giveaways, selling anything & suchlike, you can have your account suspended.

Going from personal experience I would recommend setting up a business page.

The other advantage with a page is that you get a weekly email update to see how many fans you have gained that week (60 new fans for me this week), how many active users you have & some other info

Here is mine Welcome to facebook I have a profile page,fan page and a group all because I didn't know what I was doing, The fan page is the best for business it's just I have a lot of friends on my profile page and I am finding hard to get them to join the fan page. Just like Blue Rose says you have to work at it every day for it to work. Happy facebooking
