something to light my hopi ear candles!!!

These things all happened when I was mobile. Now I am working in one place I'm OK!

I have forgotten my dappen dish and used the lid of the acrylic bottle once.

I left my clippers in disinfectant so when I needed to reduce the length of the tips I had nothing with me . . . so I asked my client if she had toenail clippers, no she didn't, but she did have manicure scissors, yes they would do I said . . . so she went off to find them (bearing in mind she is disabled and moves very slowly). Oh lordy, it took her ages to find them, I could've chewed the tips off with me teeth in less time

I forgot to prime once, (very early days lol) and sweated for three weeks till she returned - with them all intact! phew!

If it was Emmsy she'd have the client's head alight as she tried to light them off the cooker! lol

I do a lot of 'turn around and go home to get it' :o

I went to a new client for a full set of tip and overlay and forgot the tips...
Forgot my UV lamp when I went to a gel client...
Left my callous smoother at home when I was supposed to be doing a spa pedicure...

oh my... :o lol

Luckily, my clients understand my 'senior moments' (mainly because they have them themselves lol), but it does bring on a bad case of red face!!!!!!!

Having said that... I've only forgotten each thing once... learnt my lesson the first time round... :D

and to top it off... yesterday I managed (somehow) to knock over my daylight lamp whilst in the middle of a full set of nails, how on earth it happened I don't know, but I was all 'arse about face' yesterday lol, thankfully the lamp is ok :D as were her nails!

that is the funniest thing ever!!!!!!!

My friend is a mobile hairdresser, and she turned up to do a perm once and didn't have any perm solution, so still did the perm, and waited for her client to ring a few days later to say that the perm hadnt worked and offered to do it again for free.

I've forgotten my medical forms.

Once (recently) I was halfway through a massage and forgot what I was doing - couldn't remember what I was up to.

I ran out of massage oil once and had to scrounge through the clients pantry - ended up using his olive oil (lucky it was my boyfriend so he just laughed at me and then asked if next time if i was going to use tomato sauce or vinegar - told him I charge extra for that sort of thing ).

i have also done this when i was at college training luckly my client dint even realise as she had never had one before and even worse the week after when she came in again she said she had noticed a small diffrence to my horror:eek: i falt terrible but made sure i turned the machine on that say:)

what a great thread!!! I have forgotten to take a face mask during a facial, had to improvise with a layer of moisturiser! Thankfully she had dry skin so her face looked better for it. x

Oh I'm so glad its not just me!
I constantly charge for solar oil, then forget to give them it, and I'm trying to push scentsations retail at the moment so I'm supposed to be applying hand lotion after buffing and before scrubfresh, but I keep forgetting to do that aswell.
The best one was: going to do a set of liquid and powder, and I forgot all my liquid and powder.

I know this is an old thread but I thought I'd add my forgets to the list.

I went to do a pedicure and left my foot soaking thing (can't remember what it is called!!!!) at home and had to use my pedicure box instead, I have left my barrier cream at a client's house - its still there incedentally and I have a serious mental block when it comes to sticky feet! Whoever said they had a list is a genius - I'm off to organise one for each now! Much more fun than tidying my car out! Lx

I went to do a charity event where I was doing shape and polish all night. Unpacked my kit and had left every single polish at home!

One of my clients who is an ex-beauty therapist told me that she put a face masque on her client at the end of a facial, went into the staff room and then had a mental block and popped down the road to the shops . . where she realised about 45 minutes later she'd forgotten her client. When she got back the client was lying there asleep, so she wound her watch back an hour, took her masque off and gently woke her up.

Perhaps that's why the girl's an EX therapist!

I work mobile. When visiting my first ever 'real' nail client...... I forgot my brush!

I have NEVER forgotten it since!

Lol!!!
I've taken a lady into the room to get ready for a massage and in the meantime done a hundred and one other things whilst she's been getting ready. Then had a quick chat with my boss , then had a little look through the computer to assess the rest of the days clients and when i looked in my column and saw that my lady was ticked in - it was only then that i remembered i'd left her in the room for about 20 minutes!! totally forgot that i'd already sent her in to get her undressed!! My god i was so embarrassed, i just muttered my apologies and told her i was caught on the phone by someone making a booking!!
Also, when i do eyebrow waxes, just after i take the strip off i used to place it on the head of the bed rather than put it in the bin straight away, needless to say after leaning over the client from behind to finish off her eyebrows i'd walk out to reception with an eyebrow strip stuck to my ****!!! It goes straight in the bin now!!! x:lol:

Cant say that Ive actually forgotton anything.. luckily, but I do worry the hell that I have when Im on the way, what have I forgot, Im sure theres something missing ??But everthing s usually there!!

I worry far too much thats my prob.

This thread just makes me even more determined that I will NEVER work as a mobile therapist.

I once took my spray tanning machine home from the salon and forget to take it back the next day. I was setting up for a tan later that day and realised the machine was still at home, so I had to race home to get it. I only just made it back in time too.

hehehe - I can't help laugh just thinking about this. My partner at the time when I started my massage training said he'd be my guinea pig. I mixed up a special blend of oil for him and took all my stuff to his house. 3/4 of the way through the massage I ran out of oil. I then had to search his pantry for olive oil. He said 'what are you going to use next, vinegar or tomato sauce?.

Just lucky he was my partner and not a client.
