Hi. I'm just about to start working from home. I need some advice as to what to do with the marketing side. Do you put on your price lists the actual address for everyone to see eg "123 john street, anytown," or do you just put "john street, anytown" and when they phone up to book in you can then tell them your house number. I'm not sure what to do for the best. Can anyone help?!

I work from home and only advertise with the street name, not the full address. Safety first! :)

I have got a slight problem in the fact that the only other person that does beauty in the village from their garage at home, lives on the same street as me. Luckily she is a friend but I'm worried people may think my friend has renamed her salon and it may confuse people. Iv just moved to the area so I'm not known, whereas my friend has been doing it there for a number of years. Am I reading too much into this?

Possibly. I live 2 doors up from a mobile therapist and somehow a new client managed to knock on her door and ask if she was the nail lady, to which she replied "yes but I don't think I'm the one you're looking for" A little embarrassing but not the end of the world lol

I put my whole address on.
When I've been to a home salon, I always like to look it up on google first to see what it looks like!

My whole address is on my website (as well as google!) where I take online bookings so obviously they need to know where they're going and I don't want every new client to have to call or text me to ask. I also have an A-board sign outside my house, so there's no hiding that I work from home and I've never found it to be a safety issue.
