Hiya, have only been doing acrylics now for about 8 months and am still searching for a system that I have no issues with. Started off with the edge l&p, moved on to NSI, then ASP and then back to the edge again. Didn't get on with the edge to start with but put it down to being inexperienced, love NSI as I find my ratio is fine and have no problems with the actual acrylic but can't seem to get a top coat that I like when using NSI. (tried their Airshield and don't like it at all) i can't get to grips with the ratio for the edge or asp, it always self levels too much and 'gloops' over the sidewalls. Have tried so hard to use a drier ratio but then ends up too dry and sticks to my brush.
The only top coat I have found so far that I like is the 5* by the edge, but then I find that when I use that over NSI acrylic, it goes yellow.
Have a few acrylic brushes that are used with the different systems so as to avoid contamination.
I don't know what to do so any help or advice will be appreciated.
Appologies for the jumbled rambling! :)

NSI is probably the best out of the brands you've tried so far. If you had no problem with the l&p itself, perhaps you should try a different topcoat? I know a lot of techs here have mentioned glaze n go.

I think you are over complicating things for your self Hun ,
And possibly spending alot of money trying different systems with out knowing how to use them properly.
Maybe get some product training with 1 brand NSI do classes so do other brands , CND , harmony , NFU.oh , entity , a conversion class to a brand is not about training as such (you will pick up things) but it is more about how to get the best from THAT system ,

Mix ratio (seems to be a prob)
Prep
Application
All these things Shuld be covered and you will have an educator to assist you as you gain experience with the product .

I agree with Mizzy, if you have only been doing L & P enhancements for 8 months and you have gone through 3 different systems, then you are just making life hard for yourself.
You are still learning to get your feet and it takes time to really know how a system works and you work with that system.

NSI is one of the best brands and they offer many top coats but the best one and the one that has won the Nails Readers top choice award is Glaze n Go.

I recommend getting some one on one training with NSI on how to correctly use all the products that you use, get yourself some Glaze n Go and stick with this reputable brand (or if you choose to, another reputable brand).

Thankyou for your replies! I think I am going to stick to NSI and do a conversion course.
As for the Glaze n go, I was under the impression that needs to be cured under a lamp? X

Yes it does but it's well worth it:)

You can easily get yourself a 9W UV-light cheap just for curing the top coat:)

Hi I use NSI and love it, but its the glaze n go that's gives you a really nice finish to your l& p, I use a fräulein 36 w lamp it was really inexpensive it cures the products I use no problem, stick with NSI .xx hth's😃

Does the glaze n go leave a residue after being cured? Xx

No, I don't believe it does:)

glaze n go brill product, applied straight out of the bottle like a polish, cure in uv and no stickey layer remains simple

Lovely jubbly, will be placing my order over the weekend then :) thanks everyone for your help x
