Hi guys!
At the moment I don't do many nail extensions, I mainly use silk but have NSI Attraction if I have a client with nails flat/ski slope ect. Not my strong point!
I really would love to excel in this area as I think it's a massive gap I could be filling & I want to be able to offer so much more. Would love to sculpt & do 3D art etc :)
After having a browse on here, watching tutorials & researched brands I like the look of 4 brands ;
NSI
Young Nails
Creative
Nail Harmony
I am a Gelish tech
Can I ask those who use these brands why did you choose, what do you like about them, what was training like?

Many thanks I'm advance JoJo

I've used nsi and love their colour range which I use for all my 3d work, but for enhancements I use CND I love the retention+ system! easy to work with and a dream to file! I've experimented with others but keep coming back. You can use it without primer of for the troublesome lifter with.

Really interested to see what everyone says. I'm not currently trained in extensions and looking booking to book within the next week. I think I'm going to go with nail harmony as I use Gelish as well.

I wanted to book ASAP but also thinking is it worth waiting till pro beauty and seeing what I find out there?!? X

I offer gelish and loved the training so decided to do their acrylic fusion course, loved it! Love the products really good to work with I'm so happy I stayed with nail harmony xx

I did training with Nsi attraction and love it cant fault I also did a course with young nails and thought the products where jus as good as each other although alot more expensive with yn products.

I also find using glitters with the attraction system seem to settle alot better when mixing with powder and applying. Also find nsi stuff lifts alot less? Could be that im jus better at applying the attraction system.

Hth xx

I use the CND retention+ Really there is no easier, "user friendly" system. It really does file beautifully and there a minimal lifting problems (when applied correctly) There is no primer needed which is a time saver as well. I tried NSI and just found CND so much easier to use.

I trained with INM and at the time thought I really liked the product, I was having a lot of trouble sculpting my whites though and was getting quite a bit of lifting, i thought it was me though as had only been 6 months or so that I'd trained. I however decided to get the trial pack of Retention + and oh my goodness we got on like a house on fire!! One of my friends who can't keep anything on her nails and would really be lucky to get 2 weeks from acrylics pretty much now gets no lifting from retention and primer, and it is AMAZING to file!!! Lol sorry for the novel ;)

I've done acrylic, gel and gelish training all with nail harmony. I loved the training and love the products. The educators are brilliant and very supportive. I wanted to stick to one brand to show clients I fully believe in that company, thinks it looks more professional and had no complaints so far. I do on the flip side understand why people invest into different brands as I do believe that u should be offering your clients the very best in each system but can hand on heart say I love all of nail harmony products x

I trained in nsi and loved it until I tried young nails, amazing to work with and files down perfectly, I've had no problems with it at all, I would highly recommend

I trained with nsi when starting out and they were fine but i am changing over to cnd soon..
Everything i have heard about them is sooo much better.. Like training, products etc

I trained with NSi but had troubles with lifting - I assumed it was the product so tried CND, this was perfect.

As time went on and experience grew I had another bash at NSi on 4 regular clients, they didn't know I'd used something different and all but 1 of them noticed they weren't quite as strong and had breakages.

I decided to stick with CND, it's more money but it's well worth it's price tag - if I'd stayed with NSi I could've lost just those 3 clients who it didn't agree with, their sets alone were £90... you could buy your liquid and powder with that possible 'loss' :)

I like NSI and crystal nails, great to use and amazing colour range

Could I just say , I really don't think its fair to blame a product for ''lifting'' especially a well known well established one like NSI, maybe you found another brand easier to work with, but NSI or any other good brand cant be blamed for lifting as they would be out of business for producing products not fit for use

I didn't blame the product for 'lifting' I blamed it for lifting more than CND does in my experience!

Baring in mind I was trained with NSI I should, in theory, know more about it than I do CND so have a fairly good basis to compare.

Since the OP is wanting to know our own experiences I gave mine - CND has the occasional lift too but for me it wins hands down.

Even the best of brands and the most experienced techs can and do get the occasional lift - that doesn't mean the product isn't fit for use.

Hi
I trained with Nsi at college.
I further trained with EzFlow (Nail harmony) and lastly with CND Retention.

I think all the above products are great, but I preferred CND for Acrylic extensions. I use EzFlow for my Acrylic design work. Gotta use what works for you.

I currently have CND retention +
and IBD Acrylic systems.

I love both of them and have no issues with lifting.
I find CND is proabably a lot easier as a first system, I was trained with it. But I also love IBD and use it on myself a lot, they are just both very different to use :)
