Am I using too much solution?

Hiya geeks!

I today received my sample from suntana which was 3 and a half ounces of solutiton... i was a bit wary as when i put it into my spray tan bottle, i knew it wouldnt be enough.. im not sure if my machine is just greedy or whether im doing it wrong cause i always seem to use about 5-6 oz of solutiuon??? in the end i ran out with just her(my sis) face and neck to do so she asked to be sprayed with what i had left of my sunlabs solution but then she wanted me to give her one more all over spray with the sunlabs too as she didnt think the colour was dark enough!!! i know it was prob not the best thing to do.. but shes my sis and dont mind being my guinea pig for now lol .....i have a sunlabs machine which is the same as the tantruth 100 watt machine but i find it very greedy even though i have the pressure turned right down and the gun with the min amount of pressure too... please help!!! so after all that i didnt get to see what the suntana solution is like which im a bit gutted about!! but my main concern is am i doing something wrong.... ???? also she said it felt very wet going on and more like droplets than a mist... shes had loads of tans so prob knows more than me tbh lol .... also her legs were much paler than the rest of her body....should i have sprayed them again or was i too quick with my movements down the leg?? any comments would be greatly appreciated.. could my gun be faulty? or is it me?? thanks very much ... i havent really started advertising yet obviously until my sis and friends are happy totally with the results! kind wishes becky xx

Hi,

I usually use about 50ml (which I thinks is around 2 1/2 oz), think you may be using too much.

Thanks.. I may sell the machine and buy a maximist...the solution bottle is so big and I'm thinkin this cld be the problem...can I ask what machine you use?? Thank you?

If you did buy a maximist and set it up correctly you should be using around 35-50ml per tan, so should be getting around 20-25 tans per litre
the profit from 1litre at £15 a tan would pay for the machine almost twice :lol:
the tantruth machine is a strange beast its kind of a cross between a HVLP and an air brush it does produce a lot of overspray, and overspray means waste!!

Hi steve, thanks soooo much for your reply and for your private mesage offering me a free spray wiv the maximist!!! That's amazing, I have responded, but please confirm you received my reply as I sent via the mobile so hope you got it?? I am definately going wrong somewhere, and really think its the machine, I'm guna advertise my machine for sale later and def buy a maximist... From 1 litre of sunlabs, I done about 6 tans!!!!! Loool which had me thinking...how the hell am I ever going to make money like this!! So am really happy to know, its not all me and mostly my alien of a machine lol!!! I look forward to receiving ur reply about a demo and thanks so much again for the advice and offer!!! Yayyy I'm starting to feel positive about tanning again and cnt wait to be rid of the alien and get me a maximist!!! Xxxx
