Sausages - has to be sainsbury's Taste The Difference ones. Can't be doing with cheapy plastic cruddy ones, urgh

Bread - I prefer to pay a bit more & either go to Gregg's or one of the local bakers (they do a scrummy seeded loaf)

Clothes - love Monsoon but budget hasn't stretched that far of late :irked: Have my birthday coming up soon though so me thinks it calls for some shopping time. Would never buy anything with a designer label though.

I think if we put our minds to it , we're all snobs about something, lol

And we know a good sausage when we see it! Sorry that really is my last sausage remark:eek:

Sausages, short ones long ones fat ones thin ones meaty ones .. which are your favourites?

lmao I can't discuss sausages any longer ( and there was definitely NO pun intended hahaha )

Bread is a must have though - no cheap bread proper Warburtons or something like that yes

And WOOOOOPPPP i just found a teeny storage pot with coffee in in with the flask in the "lets go out for the day but Emma needs constant coffee supply" cupboard yippeeee :D Nice Carte Noir ladies ;) xxx

Sorry to gatecrash but I have to say this is one of the best posts/threads I have ever read on SG - I saw the title a few days ago and did not read it cos I am just not into cars, and now I am just laughing my socks off:lol:

I love the way you have all reclaimed this post when it looked like it was going to go the way of a few other posts (very sad).

I love the way Gr8nailz gets a chocolate covered Johnny Depp in every post.

I love the word 'discombobulated' - Thanks jacquelineanna.

As a veggie I am not going to comment on the sausage saga, but I have laughed...a lot

I guess I am a snob too - the usual stuff - shoes, chocolate, handbags, coffee, nice restaurants, I think its as I older, I buy less stuff but spend more on it. I am still working on the diamonds though...

Bread often disappoints me, it promises much and fails to deliver

Another vote for food. I will only shop at Waitrose.

Another vote for Handbags, but I do prefer Mulberry to the monogrammed Louis Vuitton as they are not so 'in your face' but that's just me. Plus they are made in the UK. Shameful collection of those.

Another vote for Hotels & toilet roll, goes without saying

Another vote for Diamonds but I don't have anywhere near enough of those so I'm working on it with subliminal messages that I play to my husband in his sleep.

And I' a real Bed linen snob, can't stand cheap scratchy stuff. Got to be Egyptian Cotton with the highest thread count I can get but as the dog sleeps with us it doesn't last long!

And on the Sausage front, I live in Newmarket which is famous for it's Sausages (and horses for that matter so I'm hoping no connection!). You have to try 'Musks Newmarket Sausages' they are fantastic, and available in Waitrose!

Sorry to throw this right off ubt I just read the reputation thingies for each of us and nearly wee'd a little with laughter haha

Brittone05 has a pencil up her nose and says Wibble lmao ;)

shall come to Newmarket one day think we did when we first moved here but can't remember we went and viewed that many houses!! I love Waitrose too daren't take hubby for normal shopping in there with me though, he would die! xx

On checking back, I can see this thread is going the right way!!!!!!! Thank god!!!

Screw all you negative people!

Ah, was I? Hmm, it was all this sausage talk that did it. lol

Why don't you start that thread off.

I'll be happy to be the first poster or maybe you could reconsider how that comes across to the rest of us.

Share the love, its so much easier.

Jacqui

Thanks i am certainly willing to do that but if you think about it,the premise of the thread is about snobbery and status symbols. I am really just stating my opinión that i value quality people over people who obsess about quality stuff.

Actually Ive just read my "contributions" to this thread and can only agree with jacqueline that ive come across as a totally pompous tit. I'll put it down to overtiredness and pmt (pre-mental tension as my friend puts it)

I used to be really snobby about holidays. I was one of those people who holidayed in quaint wee cottages and "gites" until I split from my ex and had to come up with a holiday for me and the children for a few hundred pounds.

I bit the bullet and went to a caravan park and my children loved it. Loads to do, lots of food outlets, evening entertainment and fabulous swimming pool. It met every single one of their needs. Okay so I personally would have preferred a gondola in Venice but at the end of the day, cultural snobbery aside, they had a great time and I was able to afford it for them.
